Winter in Kona means Blue Marlin, striped Marlin, Spearfish and Mahi Mahi.  Today, Captain Dave landed two striped marlin for Janet Frank from San Diego who caught her first two marlin.  Congrats to Janet who released both fish to fight another day.

Yesterday, Trevor from Minnesota landed a Spearfish and a Mahi Mahi.  The Mahi Mahi went on the the grill and the Spearfish was released.  The Kona fishing right now is for Blue Marlin, Spearfish and Mahi Mahi with a few striped Marlin around also.

These fish were landed by Judy and Peter Bruce.  Two Spearfish were released and one Ono kept for the grill.

Mike Fogarty and his wife chartered HighNoon today.  Mike is from Nebraska and this was his 3rd charter in Kona and his first on HighNoon.  Not having caught anything his on his previous attempts, Mike was excited when the long rigger went off an he landed this 36 lb. Spearfish.  Check out the photo taken minutes after landing  his fish taken by his wife.
