Steve and Karen Collins from Texas booked High Noon in hopes of catching a Blue Marlin. While trolling around we came across a floater where we lost a nice Mahi Mahi and caught a little Tuna and a Rainbow Runner. After some light tackle fun we put the lures back in the water. No more than ten minutes later the short rigger came down after eating that bait he ate the stinger. So we had one fish with two lines on him. With some quick thinking and smooth maneuvering we got the fish to the boat for a perfect release. Amazing trip thanks Steve and Karen for the great time, until next time…
Debbie, Jeff, Adam, Brandon and Jordan from Ohio booked High Noon for a half day trip. They are here visiting the Islands then heading over to Maui for Adams wedding. The morning started out slow until about two hours into the trip we found the porpoise school. As we started to make our second pass through the long rigger came down and we were hooked to a Shortnose Spearfish which Branded reeled to the boat like a champ. Perfect size for dinner. Then just when we thought the trip was over the long corner came flying out of the rigger. Jordan jumped in the chair and fought a battle of a life time. After a twenty minute fight we released a 250 pound Blue Marlin. Congratulations to the boys on their fish and to Adam on the new chapter in his life.
Dan, Cindy, Dave and Stephanie booked High Noon for a full day. We headed out to a buoy to catch bait we caught a few but couldn’t keep them alive so we put the lures back out and within an hour we had our first bite. Then about half an hour later we the long rigger came down and we had a nice Blue Marlin not happy about her choice of breakfast. Stephanie strapped in to the rod and began a battle of a life time. After a smooth and carful fight Stephanie had landed her first Blue Marlin. On our way back to the habor to drop off the fish we missed another blue. What an amazing trip with a fun group of people.
Jim, Kim, Nathan, Jacob, Harry and Jackie all joined us on the High Noon for an afternoon half day trip. About an hour into our trip we hooked up to a beautiful Shortnose Spearfish. Jim jumped in the chair and had it to the boat in minutes. That was the only bite we had but we got dinner and a trophy of a fish.
Kai along with his Dad and Grandpa from California booked High Noon for a morning half day trip in search for some dinner. We worked Ono lane for three and a half hours with no bites. We watched a few other boats get lucky around us. Just when we started to head back to the harbor the stinger started screaming line. Kai and his dad jumped in the chair and started reeling. After a few minutes we successfully had a 34 pound Ono (Wahoo) on the boat.
