recognized as one of the finest sportfishing boats ever
designed. It is truly one of the finest fishing boats
made in the world. It is fully equiped with twin turbo
charged Cat diesels. In short, HighNoon is a fast comfortable
sport fishing boat. In addition, HighNoon is equipped

HighNoon
has a full complement of custom fishing tackle from
stand up 30 and 50 lb class rods/reels up to 130 lb
class fishing equipment. I enjoy matching my fishing
equipment to the size of the fish. For instance, in
the early spring, I run two 30 lb outfits with smaller
lures for the smaller billfish such as Spearfish and
Striped Marlin. What a thrill it is to land a great
fish like that on light tackle!
Catching
a 40 lb Wahoo on a full 130 lb glass outfit isn't much
fun. It is much more exciting to catch that fish with
the proper size tackle. Most boats just put out their
130s and troll for whatever hits at the time. I try
whenever possible to match the fishing equipment to
the fish.
My
fishing tackle consists of two custom 30 weight rods
with Shimano Tiagra Gold 30 reels. I also have two custom
50 weight outfights using Penn International reels.
For the giant Blue Marlin, HighNoon has both 80 and
130 lb class outfits. All my rods are custom made and
I use only gold Shimano and Penn international fishing
reels. This wide range of fishing equipment provides
you, the angler with fun fishing no matter what the
size of the fish. Thus, for the smaller gamefish such
as Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and the smaller Billfish, I can
use stand the smaller standup outfits. For giant Blue
Marlin and Yellowfin tuna, the 130 lb class outfits
and fighting chair are used.
