It is late November in Kona. After a few weeks of pretty slow fishing, the action has suddenly got pretty hot. Two Blue Marlin on our last two trips. On Nov. 27, we took a group out and after a very tough fight, landed a 437 lb Blue Marlin. On November 29, we had two Blue Marlin shots and landed a nice 107 lb Blue.

Great day out this morning with Whitney from northern California area. We fought this fish for over an hr and she kicked our butts! We tried for over 20 mins to revive her but she was spent… Unfortunately the sharks were on her so we decided to take her…and it weighed in at 437 lbs.
@left_hand_wraps808 was a boss on the leader! And Seamount definitely had our backs!!!!
On November 29, our long time fishing client, Julio, booked us for a 3/4 day. Julio has fished with us 8-10 times previous and has always been lucky. Today they got this nice 107 lb Blue Marlin.
Here is Captain Tara and crew Jamison with the fish.
Today we took Donnelle Clark from Oregon out big game fishing. Donnelle was very excited to fish and her dream was to catch a Blue Marlin. Fishing has been very slow this week, but as I told Donnelle, if you aren’t fishing, you definitely aren’t going to catch!
Since fishing had been slow south of the harbor, I turned north today and went to what they call the “backside of the grounds” . About halfway into the charter, the short rigger came slamming down….but no fish. Captain Tara began teasing the fish and it attacked the lure about 4 times….and it finally hooked up. Donnelle jumped into the fighting chair, and did a great job of getting this nice 175 lb Blue Marlin to the boat after about a 15 minute battle. Capt Tara grabbed leader and the the fish went crazy jumping all around the back of the boat. We pulled it closer, and released it to fight another day. Congratulations to Donnelle on a great catch!
