Current fishing report for High Noon

The fish are still around Kona… We have had an amazing week catching a large variety of fish from Ono to Mahi-Mahi and even sail fish!

The weather has been absolutely glamour and the conditions for fishing amazing!

Even on a slow day we are able to find something for you…

We have also had  a lot of first time young anglers out with us like 9yr old Mieky who managed to reel in a 30lb Ono! Congrats!!!

And young Nick who landed a 60lb Sailfish one of the largest caught here in Hawaii for a long time! Again Congrats!

As we head into the later part of October we are seeing more Ono and larger Spear Fish showing up!

Live baiting has been steady but catching on the troll has been even steadier.

High Noon fishing report

Summer is over but not the bite here in Kona!

As fall unfolds the weather and fishing conditions here in Kona continue to fire up!

This past week both Blue Marlin and Mahi Mahi have shown up in good numbers.

The number of visitors has slowed down a bit last week but we are already almost completely booked for the end of October! The currents have been holding steady and the water has cooled down bit making for Ideal fishing conditions! Most boats are averaging 2-3 bites a day!

We have been doing a lot f live baiting on our 3/4 and full day charters and catching mahi’s on lighter tackle then going out to fish for marlin on heavier gear during the tide change!

Be sure to contact us if you’d like your shot at catching a fish!

High Noon Charters Sept 9 2019

Another great day on board High Noon Fishing Charters

We were honoured to be apart of Justin and Megans first blue marlin and deep sea fishing experience! They were visiting us all the way from Alberta Canada doing a 4 hr charter when we hooked up to a 150lb marlin! Justin did an amazing job bringing this fish to the boat! We look forward to fishing with them again!

September is still firing and we have a few spots left towards the end of the month…

With flights coming in daily and accommodation in low season now is the time to come fish with us!

First Week of August

First Week Of August

What a great start to August for the High Noon.

The first week of fishing on the High Noon has produced several blue marlin and a double hook up of striped marlin. Even with Hawaii having two weather systems coming through,  the waters off of Kona have been very fishable. We started the week off a little slow but the last 2 trips have been amazing with our last 2 charters landing their dream fish!

Three Mahi Mahi for honeymoon couple.

Dave and his new wife Kristen from New York were recommended by friends and booked HighNoon for a half day adventure. David said he wanted to catch a marlin, but anything would do. We set out into the pacific in search of anything that would bite. 20 minutes into the trip we got a call from a friend that said he was on a little floater which had a few mahi mahi hanging around it. We headed in his direction and on our first pass we hooked a nice mahi. They wouldn’t eat lures after that so we switched to bait and managed to get a few more. Beautiful day, beautiful water, and beautiful couple. We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them again.

Here is a little video of catching one of the Mahi Mahi on live Bait.
